Life at Toscana

In a verdant California valley set against the rugged Santa Rosa mountains is a secret garden within a garden. A place where the bell in the tower tolls to mark the hour. Where rosemary and bougainvillea color the hillsides. A place of flowers, fountains and friends gathered in a celebration of a Tuscan-inspired lifestyle. Toscana is this garden of earthly delights. it is … la dolce vita.

Crowning a hilltop are a series of magnificent stone towers, cloistered villas and cool passageways that connect interiors furnished with hardwood paneling, terra cotta and stone flooring and hand-trowelled, textured plaster walls. Italian marble, wrought iron fixtures and wood-burning fireplaces unify the aesthetic evoking the warmth and splendor of a Renaissance estate. This architectural jewel is Toscana’s Club Villa, a village with the Golf Club, Il Forno Trattoria, La Cucina, Il Caffè, boutiques, Spa Bella Vita and the Sports Club.

Toscana is developed by Sunrise Company, the Desert’s preeminent country club developer. The company thoughtfully plans amenities and activities delivered with engaging and genuine personal service to help foster fast and lasting friendships. Listening closely to our customers, we work with them to craft experiences like no other.

Toscana’s lively, non-stop social calendar, particularly during the winter season, offers countless opportunities for Members to forge lasting friendships with their neighbors. Members enjoy wine events, bingo nights, family events, tennis and pickleball mixers, golf tournaments, card games, bocce ball leagues, book clubs, dance lessons, barbecues, a wellness speaker series, and much more. Each day at Toscana is different, an inspired lifestyle enriched by a culinary program that is as fresh as the day itself. Nearby, artisan farmers and fertile valleys offer abundant and healthy ingredients for menus that delight Members and guests alike. Warm muffins and chilled fruit in the Sports Club and at the golf course Starter’s House fuel the day. Full breakfasts and lunch are graciously served in the golf locker rooms, and Il Caffè is the spot for coffee drinks and soft-serve yogurt. Lunch may also be enjoyed at the Den or La Cucina overlooking the stunning view. Members meet friends and family for happy hours and casual dinners at La Cucina. Fine dining is enjoyed at the grand centerpiece of the Club Villa – Il Forno Trattoria. It is elegant, richly layered with classic art and tapestries, a theater at once grand and intimate to savor the creations of an extraordinary culinary team.

The day’s choices are many. The competition spirited. The rewards abundant. The hands of time seem to have no grip on those who call Toscana home. Indeed, every day, everywhere behind and outside the gates, Members seem intent on turning them back. The ever-active hub is the Sports Club, where the motion studio and training center buzz with activity. But even 28,000 square feet is insufficient for these bodies in motion, who have made the mountains and byways their extended playground, with hikes into the hills and frequent outings by Toscana’s own peloton, the Cicilio di Toscana. It’s all proof that it’s never too late to act like a kid.
